Fast and Accurate, the longshot winner of last year’s Spiral Stakes, went on to run 17th in the Kentucky Derby at odds of 41-1. The son of Hansen will receive a friendlier setup Sunday in Presque Isle Downs’ Leematt Stakes.

The Mike Maker trainee was installed as a 3-1 morning line shot while set to break from post 8 of 9 in the $100,000 test for Pennsylvania-breds.

Fast and Accurate has raced nine times since the Derby, with his lone win Nov. 4 in Gulfstream Park West’s Showing Up Stakes going a mile on turf. He’ll run the same distance at 7:55 p.m. Sunday, this time over the all weather track.

Campaigned by Skychai Racing, Dr. Kendall Hansen and Sand Dollar Stable, Fast and Acurrate has placed in a trio of non-graded stakes leading into Sunday’s Leematt. He shows a series of recent works at Keeneland, and jockey Pablo Morrales will be in the irons.
