My Kentucky Oaks 2018 Play of the Day

Friday's 2018 Kentucky Oaks card presents challenging races, where favorites look vulnerable and payoffs look juicy.

One of my strongest opinions on Friday's card is that #11 Rushing Fall is beatable in the Edgewood Stakes (G3). While not a complete toss, she must overcome a tough outside post and her speed figures do not tower over these. #3 Altea (the other Chad Brown) and #7 Toinette actually ran slightly faster, though Rushing Fall was coming off an extended layoff in the Appalachian Stakes (G2) at Keeneland Race Course. #6 Daddy is a Legend ran respectable off a 5-month layoff and can certainly improve considering she broke in a tangle last out.

I'll put in some pick 3s ending with the Oaks that I think is fairly wide open, and lean toward #11 My Miss Lilly as my top pick.

The sequence starts with Race 9, in which #2 Electric Forest looks to lay over this field. But I will use #6 Devine Mischief as a backup.

Also check out my full card analysis. (We already picked the winner of the first race!)
