#4 DYNAMAX PRIME (5-1) has been in fine form since moving to the Rob Atras barn May 5. He did not get enough pace help vs. Mr. Buff last time, and he ran on nicely for the place that day. He can turn the tables on that foe if the pace heats up.

#2 Mr. Buff (6-5) is always tough on the lead, and he got back on the beam in the Saginaw at Belmont June 30. He is 5-for-7 at this distance and figures to take the bulk of the wagering action.

#5 Evaluator (12-1) makes his first start in more than nine months, and his new trainer Bond is enjoying a productive meet. He landed the place in both local starts at this distance last summer, and he will try to get involved late under Castellano.

#8 Winston’s Chance (15-1) exits a clear place finish in an allowance route at Finger Lakes. He is 2-for-2 at Saratoga and projects an outside stalking trip.

#9 Control Group (8-1) is another entrant with speed, and Luis Saez will have to hustle him out of the gate to secure early position. He beat Winston’s Chance at Finger Lakes last time, and he is 2-for-3 at Saratoga and 5-for-11 at this distance.

#3 Sea Foam (6-1) went all the way in the Albany at this course/distance last year. He should be forwardly placed under Rosario.

#1 Vincento (10-1) scratched out of a NY-bred stakes sprint on Sunday. That race was too short for him, and this spot makes more sense. He exits a nice front running win at this course/distance, and he should make his presence felt throughout from the inside post under Jose Ortiz.

#6 Twisted Tom (15-1) used to be good enough to win a race like this, but he has dropped eight straight and has become very inconsistent.

#7 Gio d’Oro (8-1) reconnects with aggressive pilot Carmouche and should be on or near the lead. He might make life difficult for Mr. Buff.

Wagers:

#4 to win

Exacta Box 2-4

Trifecta 2-4/All/2-4
