No. 5 THEALLIGATORHUNTER (3-1) crossed the line first in six of his last ten starts. He dueled from the inside post before weakening in an extended sprint at Tampa Bay April 24, and that was his first start in more than seven months. The five-time local winner captured a pair of state bred stakes races last year and could easily move forward in his second start of the year.
No. 2 Dame Plata (9-5) is a sharp Will Rogers Downs shipper with multiple wins at this course and distance. The versatile gelding attended the pace in all three starts this year and should be forwardly placed again.
No. 6 Astronaut Oscar (6-1) likes this course and distance and might be quick enough to make the early lead. He is back at his favorite venue in his second start after a layoff, and early speed is strong at this trip.
No. 4 Hot Shot Kid (9-2) is a veteran gelding with an affinity for this oval. He is not as good as he once was but can still run a bit and might rally for a share.
