No. 2 Starship Macys (6-1) is winless in 11 attempts on conventional dirt, so her recent string of losses can be forgiven. She struck three times on the all-weather surface at Presque Isle last year and figures to carve out the fractions in this spot.
No. 7 Merino Wool (8-5) missed by a head in her needed local return in the claiming ranks on May 17. She has a very good record at this course and distance, and she will probably stalk the pace from the outside post.
No. 6 Right Now (4-1) will try to get involved late under her new pilot Antonio Gallardo. She handled the all-weather surface at Turfway and earned a competitive speed rating in a show finish on March 2.
No. 5 Bourbon Blast (7-2) exits a turf-route upset at Tampa Bay and might maintain sharp form in her third start of the year. She handles this surface and can earn a minor award.
