No. 5 Roadtriptonowhere (6-1) was off his game in his last two starts. He stumbled badly at the start in December and raced wide in the mud as the beaten favorite Jan. 31. He had a productive campaign last year and can compete with these on his best day.
No. 9 Simovitch (6-1) pressed and faded in the mud Jan. 30. He captured a similar local route in November and figures to impact the pace from the outside post.
No. 6 Rich’s Way (5-1) earned a decent speed rating in a runner-up finish in the mud Jan. 31. He will try to get involved late and might pick up a minor award.
No. 7 Overly Critical (7-2) was beaten by a half-length in an allowance sprint at Charles Town on Feb. 7. He won seven times last year including a victory at this course and distance in December. He should make his presence felt from the outset.
No. 1 Tops the Chart (4-1) pressed and weakened in a local route in the mud Jan. 31. He ran well in back-to-back races on fast ground in December and should be all over the pace from the inside post.
