No. 7 Meyer (5-1) chased the pace and weakened as a 46-1 outsider in the Valedictory on all-weather ground at Woodbine last time. He is effective in these long turf races and should offer value. Wednesday’s rider Tyler Gaffalione guided him to a runner-up finish in a local synthetic race at 1 1/2 miles in March.

No. 3 Cyber Ninja (3-1) ran well in all three turf starts at this distance under José Ortiz. Bill Mott’s fresh Arrogate colt packs a decent late kick.

No. 2 Harry Hood (9-2) stalked the pace, made the lead in the stretch and settled for the place in a local turf race at 1 1/2 miles Jan. 1. He earned a decent speed rating last time and is a logical contender if able to run two alike.

No. 6 Mo Vanishing (8-1) won his last two local starts at shorter distances, and the runner-up from his last start returned to score Jan. 18. This is a tougher spot, and he might be able to compete with these if he handles this trip.
