Wednesday's Best Bet: Mackillop has good fortune at Saratoga

No. 8 Mackillop (3-1) had a comfortable stalking trip in his winning flat-mile turf bow as the favorite at Tampa Bay March 27. He raced evenly from an outer post and missed the show by a nose second time out. Flavien Prat has been winning races with Chad Brown recently, and the new gelding has been freshened for this.
No. 6 Analogy (4-1) switches to leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr. in his third start after a layoff. He cuts back a furlong after an uncomfortable trip on July 16.
No. 2 Mo Rewards (6-1) stalked and scored from the inside post in his local dirt sprint bow last summer. He disappeared for more than 10 months and returned with an OK effort from the outside post in a local turf route July 16. Uncle Mo is a solid turf sire, and the dam has produced a turf winner.
No. 5 Maritime Wings (6-1) moves to the Todd Pletcher barn after running last in his stateside bow in the Paradise Creek. He adds blinkers and Lasix, and John Velazquez stays put.
No. 4 Legends Can’t Die (6-1) earned his diploma by a head as the favorite in his turf sprint bow July 3 and was flat on good ground in his first start vs. winners July 28. They paid $350k for this one, and he might be all set to route after two sprints.
