No. 6 Latigo (5-1) is faster as a 4-year-old this year and might be ready to run his best race yet in his third start after a long layoff. He always runs his tactical race in dirt sprints and should offer a hint of value.
No. 3 Fortin Hill (6-1) was overmatched in the Grade 1 Churchill Downs Stakes on May 6. The veteran campaigner easily defeated local state-bred sprinters last September and was part of the exacta in all five attempts at this distance.
No. 2 Nobody Listens (7-2) is 5-for-6 at this trip and is one of multiple entrants with early speed. He likes this dirt oval and should be in the thick of things from the outset. He easily wired the filed in this event last year.
No. 4 Chipofftheoldblock (4-1) was the beaten favorite in this race last year but has come back stronger in 2023. He looked good beating allowance foes at Will Rogers on March 7 and exits a stakes victory at that same venue in the Highland Ice on April 25. He has a good overall record at this course and distance.
