No. 6 Flakes (5-1) looked good in her local bow late last year and was overmatched in the Forward Gal second time out. This is a better spot, and she might bounce back.
No. 1 Kikilove (2-1) exits a sharp victory at this course and distance. She projects a ground-saving tactical trip under Irad Ortiz Jr. She will have to run faster to win this.
