Wednesday's Best Bet: Collin's Grey Lady sharp in Parx Futurity
Wednesday’s 8th race from Parx Racing is the $100,000 Parx Futurity for two-year-old fillies dashing seven furlongs on the main track (Post Time 3:23 p.m. EST).
No. 4 COLLIN’S GREY LADY (6-1) showed marked improvement in a sharp front running win at one mile second time out. She turns back a furlong and will probably stalk the pace this time, and the promising daughter of Frosted might be this good.
No. 10 Miss Interpret (5-2) was overmatched in the Demoiselle (G2) and Alcibiades (G1) in her last pair. She was solid in a trio of dirt sprints before those races, and she projects an outside stalking trip for the productive Carmouche/Pletcher team.
No. 8 Captainsdaughter (9-2) exits back-to-back runner-up finishes vs. New York-bred stakes foes. The late runner should get pace to chase and is probably good for a share.
No. 9 Twodogsfourcats (8-1) is a versatile maiden adding blinkers in her third start after a layoff. She might work out a decent stalking trip.
No. 2 Alice Harper (5-1) and No. 3 Stand Up Comic (6-1) both have the ability to wire the field but might duel on the front end and set things up for a patient type. The latter is 2-for-2 on dirt.
