No. 11 Strugar (9-2) won an all-weather sprint at Turfway late last year, and Jamie Ness claimed him that day. He fired in his last two local starts, including a starter allowance score on Feb. 13. He figures to stalk the pace from the outside post under his winning rider Frankie Pennington.
No. 2 Horn of Plenty (3-1) captured his last two claiming sprints at Santa Anita, and David Jacobson claimed him out of his last start. The versatile gelding enjoys this distance.
No. 5 Commissioner G (8-1) is a competent late-running sprinter. He is back in a starter allowance event and might be able to rally for a share.
No. 1 He’s Incredible (5-1) is a veteran gelding with a nose for the wire. He wired the field from the inside post as the favorite in a similar local sprint on March 15.
No. 6 Get the W (5-1) has been competing on the racetrack since 2016. He might hit the century mark later this year and can still run a bit. He should make his presence felt from the outset.
No. 8 Rileys Dude (4-1) scored in a restricted claiming race at Delaware last fall and was claimed by Bonnie Lucas. He shipped to Penn National and scored again in November, and he missed by a neck in his first start after a layoff on March 16.
