Tuesday’s Best Bet: Riverside is on the brink at Turf Paradise

Tuesday’s seventh race at Turf Paradise is an optional-claiming event for 3-year-olds and up dashing six furlongs on the main track. The scheduled post time is 5:30 p.m. EST.

No. 7 Riverside (3-1) turned back in distance at Sunland Park on Jan. 25, and he dueled from an inner post and graduated by 3 1/2 lengths as the favorite. That was a relatively fast race, and he drew outside the other speed this time. 

No. 2 Cool Papa G (7-2) made the lead before weakening in a dirt sprint at Los Alamitos when last seen in December, and the runner-up was a next-out winner. Justin Evans has him now, and he is off to a fast start at the current meet. 

No. 6 J C’s a Legend (8-1) turns back in distance and returns to the main track. He frequently fires trifecta shots on fast dirt and might spice up the exotics.
