#1 KOOL KATE (5-2) turns back in distance and switches surfaces. She usually shows speed in turf routes and rallied from last to land the show in a dirt sprint stakes at Turf Paradise late last year. I am expecting her to close from the rail, and she should get pace to chase.

#6 Love At Night (7-2) captured seven of her last eight starts. She wired the field in those victories, plus she loves this course and distance.

#3 Matapan (6-1) faded in the slop at Will Rogers last time. She was a fairly reliable early pressing sprinter before that, and she might bounce back at square odds.

#5 Chub’s Charmer (10-1) rallied for the place in her last three starts. She should be finishing and might be able to land a share.

#7 Imabarnkat (10-1) was part of the exacta in her last eight starts, and she captured half of those races. She was claimed out of her last and should make her presence felt throughout.

#9 Eaton’s Memory (9-2) figures to show speed from the outside post, and she does some of her best work at this distance. She is sharp and fresh.

#2 Dixie Flyer (8-1) will probably chase inside. She captured three of her last eight starts and has been inconsistent since last summer.

#8 Betty Jean (15-1) will probably try to get involved early, but it sure looks crowded up front. She is going to have to uncork a career best to compete with these.

#4 Stella Marie (12-1) is an Iowa-bred filly trying opening company, and this is her first start in more than seven months.
