No. 2 Derby House (7-2) captured his last three starts from off the pace, and his last two victories were at this course and distance. The fresh gelding must be respected in his current form for a productive jockey-trainer team.
No. 7 Davidic Line (4-1) got loose in a local sprint June 15. He likes this oval and has had success at this distance on multiple occasions. He can repeat if they leave him alone early.
No. 6 Shoogar Ray Too (3-1) ran a quality race at Pimlico last time. In that May 21 dirt route, he chased from the outside post, dropped back a bit and surged late to miss by a head. The three-time local winner will probably stalk outside again.
No. 3 Midnightcharly (8-1) exits a clear runner-up finish as the beaten favorite in a local sprint, and that was his first start after the Ness claim. He has been on a steady sprint diet but is 1-for-1 at this distance.
