No. 7 TWO OF A KIND (3-1) had a razor sharp break from the inside post and kept on going in his May 4 bow at Churchill Downs. Three runners from that event ran back and two hit the board. He earned a quality pace rating last time and should be forwardly placed under Luis Saez.
No. 4 No Nay Hudson (5-2) was sharp throughout from the outside post as the even money favorite in his Keeneland bow April 28 and multiple runners from that heat have run back. Runner-up The Big Wam was second again in the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes, and show finisher Top Of My Game completed the trifecta again at Churchill May 12. Fourth place finisher Spurs Up earned his diploma vs. maiden claimers at Churchill May 27, and two other runners from April 28 failed to crack the top three in their next starts.
No. 5 Valenzan Day (7-2) pressed from 2nd and was up late in his local special weight victory at five panels May 12. Two horses ran back. Show finisher Magic Beauty was 3rd at Parx May 31 and is entered in the Astoria. Fourth place finisher Kerry returned to graduate at Churchill June 5. He was a bargain $15k purchase and has already earned more than three times his sales price. Joel Rosario takes over as Luis Saez decided to stick with Two of a Kind.
No. 8 Zelenskyy Strong (5-1) ran off the screen in his four and one-half furlong bow at Gulfstream Park April 22. Four horses ran back from that heat. Three disappointed and sixth place finisher Pachanga Loca won June 2. Peter Walder shows a profit with shippers and he will probably stalk outside under Irad Ortiz Jr.
No. 3 Putthepastbehind (8-1) stalked from 2nd and got the job done in his Laurel debut May 1. Four have run back with two wins, a third, and a fifth.
No. 1 Stayhonor Goodside (8-1) ran away in his all-weather bow at Woodbine as the favorite. None of the runners from that heat returned yet. The $85k son of Honor Code tries dirt.
No. 2 Little J P (20-1) smartly won his two furlong bow at Parx after getting bumped around early. I don’t like him at this longer trip but he could make things tough on the other pace players in the early going.
No. 6 Bisping (12-1) easily went all the way as the overwhelming favorite in his Louisiana debut. Rob Atras has the LA-bred gelding now and he will need to run faster to threaten these.
