No. 7 SPA CITY (2-1) is 2-for-2 at Indiana Grand and Tom Amoss has strong stats second after the claim. He owns the best recent speed ratings and figures to stalk the pace from an outer post.

No. 2 Bayou Cat (5-2) wired the field in his last three local dirt routes. The sharp state bred gelding might score again if he can get out there and control the pace.

No. 3 Truculent (8-1) is enjoying a productive season and his new trainer John Cox has good stats first after the claim. He was clearly second best chasing loose front runner No. 4 Warrior in Chief (9-2) Oct. 19, and the stalker can outrun his odds if he gets pace to chase.

No. 1 Contract Tracing (10-1) fired trifecta shots in his last nine starts and he won three of those races. The consistent gelding likes this course and distance, and he figures to save ground behind the speed.

Wagers:

No. 7 to win
