Thursday’s ninth race from Aqueduct is an $85,000 maiden special weight for 3-year-olds and up traveling one mile on the turf course. The scheduled post time is 4:12 p.m. EST.

No. 5 Siege of Boston (5-2) completed the exacta in all three starts since moving to the James Toner barn. He lost a ton of ground and ran a better-than-appears race from the outside post last time. The fresh, versatile colt shows back-to-back bullet workouts for this.

No. 7 Indemnify (7-5) hit the board as the beaten favorite in all three starts. Chad Brown’s colt adds blinkers, and Irad Ortiz Jr. wins races with this outfit. The logical contender might take too much win action.

No. 6 Celestial Moon (5-1) split a 10-horse field in his turf route debut on Oct. 15. Dam has produced a turf winner and Bill Mott’s $160k purchase might show more in his second career outing.

No. 8 Aruba (5-1) was in the mix in all five turf starts. He probably will chase the pace and might move forward a bit in his third start after a layoff.
