Thursday’s 9th race from Belmont Park is the $80,000 Flat Out Stakes for four-year-olds and up traveling a mile and three-eighths on the main track (Post Time 5:36 p.m. ET).

#2 ROCKETRY (7-2) tailed off last summer, and he appears to be training forwardly for his first start in more than nine months. He landed the place in this race last year and should be heard from late under his new rider Jose Ortiz. The class of the field owns the best overall speed figures.

#4 Sir Winston (8-5) got back on track in a nice flat mile victory vs. optional claiming foes at Aqueduct Jan. 31. He fired in both local graded stakes starts last year, including a victory in the Belmont Stakes (G1), and the four-year-old colt still has some room to develop. Thursday’s pilot Joel Rosario rode him in the aforementioned Belmont Park starts, and he earned his best two lifetime speed figures in those events.

#8 You’re to Blame (12-1) seems to do his best work in these longer dirt races. His recent form is not great, but he adds blinkers, handles this oval, and might go better in this event.

#9 Adventist (9-2) might be worth using underneath. He upset a graded marathon Parx last fall, and was in good form vs. stakes foes over the winter at Aqueduct. Look for him in the late stages.
