Best Bet: Bustin Bay can run away in Bay Ridge
Thursday’s seventh race at Aqueduct is the $100,000 Bay Ridge Stakes for fillies and mares traveling one mile on the main track. The scheduled post time is 3:40 p.m. EST.

No. 5 Bustin Bay (5-1) tallied five times this year, and three of those were flat mile races at Aqueduct. She exits a solid runner-up finish in the slop in the New York Stallion Staten Island at seven panels. Linda Rice’s mare fits with these on her best day and might offer value.
No. 6 Know It All Audrey (4-1) exits a sharp win in the mud in the Empire Distaff. The consistent filly likes this oval and should be forwardly placed under Dylan Davis.
No. 3 Venti Valentine (5-2) was part of the trifecta in her last five starts, and four of those were stakes events. She enjoys this oval and does some of her best work at one mile.
No. 2 Fingal’s Cave (2-1) won her first four starts last year, including the Fleet Indian Stakes at Saratoga. She ended her 2022 campaign with a runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Raven Run, and this is her first start in more than a year. She drilled a gate bullet for this on Dec. 16.
