No. 7 Voodoo Magic (7-2) won two turf sprints in France last year. Phil D’Amato is her new trainer and Joel Rosario takes the call, and she might enjoy the hillside course.
No. 11 Julias Dream (4-1) wired the field in her turf sprint bow at Del Mar last summer and was up the track in the Del Mar Debutante (G1) second time out. She bounced back with a turf sprint win last fall and exits a sharp victory in the Gowell on all-weather ground at Turfway. She reconnects with Flavien Prat and should be all over the pace from the outside post.
No. 4 Zona Verde (5-1) won a pair of flat-mile turf races since arriving in this country, including the Jimmy Durante (G3). She had a troubled beginning and came running late to complete the superfecta in the Blue Norther on Dec. 29. She turns back and might not be out of this.
No. 1 Alluring (6-1) rallied for the place in her turf sprint bow, and she pressed the pace and kicked away second time out. She should be lurking behind the speed from the inside post under Umberto Rispoli.
