No. 7 Sassyserb (5-1) reconnects with her winning rider Joe Bravo and might move up in her second start after a layoff. She has won at Del Mar before and frequently fires trifecta shots at one mile on turf.

No. 5 Rose Dawson (4-1) is a lightly raced sophomore filly with exacta finishes in all four starts. She rallied to win the Cal Cup Oaks at one mile Jan. 15 and reunites with Juan Hernandez.

No. 8 Eddie’s New Dream (5-2) stalked, led and completed the exacta in a local nine-panel affair July 22. She won a state-bred turf stakes sprint at Santa Anita March 19 and won a local turf route last fall. She figures to sit a decent tactical trip under her regular pilot Mario Gutierrez.

No. 2 Warrens Candy Girl (5-1) got a great setup as the favorite in a local optional claiming turf route score Aug. 14. She is sharp and should be finishing.

No. 1 Harper’s Gallop (15-1) exits an encouraging runner-up finish in her turf sprint return May 14. Her early-pressing speed should serve her well in a race lacking front-end speed, and Hector Berrios might just go on with it from the hedge.
