Sunday's Best Bet: Riding With Dino drives home in Sensational Star

Sunday's 7th race from Santa Anita Park is the $100,000 Sensational Star Stakes for California-bred four-year-olds and up dashing six and one-half furlongs on the turf course (Post Time 7:12 p.m. EDT).

No. 5 RIDING WITH DINO (5-1) is a very consistent early-pressing type exiting a runner-up finish in an all-weather stakes sprint at Golden Gate. His last win was in a local turf sprint under Sunday’s rider Flavien Prat, and he projects a decent stalking trip at a hint of a price. 

No. 1 Indian Peak (5-2) exits a runner-up finish in the San Simeon (G3), and red hot local turf sprinter Barraza pulled off a four-bagger that day.

No. 2 Brickyard Ride (8-5) always guns for the early lead and is 10-for-20 overall. He is 2-for-2 in the stakes ranks this year and will almost certainly play catch me if you can under Juan Hernandez. He is probably better on dirt, and the same could be said of No. 8 Fashionably Fast (5-1). The latter is a very consistent dirt sprinter, and he is a six-time stakes winner.
