No. 6 Dandy Man Shines (4-1) showed ability in Great Britain, including an OK effort in a Group 2 sprint July 26. Jeff Mullins has the maiden now, and Umberto Rispoli hops aboard.
No. 8 Ti Sento (6-1) was sharp in his turf sprint maiden win in Ireland second time out and was up the track in a Group 2 last time. He adds blinkers for his new trainer Simon Callaghan, and Flavien Prat takes the call.
No. 1 Ah Jeez added blinkers and smartly improved in his local turf sprint maiden win second time out Aug. 26. I like the two sprints to a route pattern, and Abel Cedillo has been clicking with Doug O’Neill recently.
No. 9 Packs a Wahlop (8-1) was the beaten chalk in his Gulfstream Park debut in the slop and made amends in a local turf sprint affair Aug. 5. Mike Smith has been winning races with Jeff Mullins recently, and he should impact the pace in his second start after a layoff.
No. 11 Park City (5-1) was the beaten favorite in both starts, but he hit the board both times and deserves another chance. John Velazquez hops aboard Dan Blacker’s $200k purchase, and he adds blinkers.
No. 13 Tahoma (8-1) fired in both dirt sprints, and Juan Hernandez strings along. Doug O’Neill’s $160k Keeneland sales grad is from Justify’s first crop, and his dam has produced three turf winners.
