No. 5 Counterparty Risk (3-1) added blinkers and looked sharp in a stalk-and-pounce victory in the optional claiming ranks at Del Mar on Aug. 20. Phil D’Amato’s mare figures to work out a decent tactical trip under her winning pilot Ramon Vazquez.

No. 2 Warrens Candy Girl (3-1) rallied to capture her last two turf routes at Del Mar, including the Solana Beach Stakes. The fresh filly should be finishing under Umberto Rispoli, but she lost all five local turf attempts.

No. 4 Hamwood Flier (5-2) is the main speed and she will probably discourage the other forwardly placed runners. She should be in front turning for home.
