Sunday's Best Bet: Bonita Bianca looms large in Bay Ridge Stakes
Sunday's seventh race from Aqueduct is the $100,000 Bay Ridge Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares traveling a mile and an eighth on the main track (Post Time - 3:47 p.m. ET).
#8 BONITA BIANCA (2-1) was in a bit too deep in the Go for Wand (G3) at one mile at Aqueduct Dec. 1. She romped vs. this kind from the outside post as my top pick Oct. 20 and wins this if she duplicates that stellar effort. She figures to take plenty of win action and I will key her on top in trifectas.
#5 Split Time (7-2) finished out of the trifecta for the first time in ten outings in the Comely (G3) last time. The 3-time local winner reconnects with her winning pilot Junior Alvarado. She was no match for Bonita Bianca in a runner-up finish Oct. 20.
#2 Frostie Anne (4-1) adds blinkers and might play catch me if you can. She likes this course and distance and beat this kind in the Saratoga Dew at this distance Aug. 17.
#1 Unbridledadventure (8-1) is 4-for-4 at this distance and might be able to land a share from the cozy rail. She fired exacta shots in her last five dirt starts (4 wins) vs. lesser foes.
#7 Held Accountable (12-1) is sharp and versatile but is probably not good enough to pull off a hat trick. I like her chances to hit the board.
