No. 8 Ancient Peace (5-2) dueled and weakened in the San Clemente (G2) on turf last time. She ran well in both dirt routes this year and might be the one to reel in. Brian Lynch has good stats with recent additions to his barn, and she drilled a Churchill bullet this month in training for this.
No. 4 Honor D Lady (9-2) raced wide and was nowhere as a 52-1 long shot in the Saratoga Oaks (G3) on Aug. 4, and she seemed to dislike soft turf that day. She fired trifecta shots in her other six starts and can bounce back at a hint of a price.
No. 2 Merlazza (2-1) was sharp this year for Brad Cox. She lost her last three stakes, and she tries to rebound in her third start since a short layoff. Flavien Prat takes the call, and she drilled a bullet for this last Sunday.
No. 7 Love Tank (20-1) removes blinkers and returns to preferred footing in her third start after a short layoff. She can contend for a minor award at a price.
