Sunday's Best Bet: Anarchist can raise ruckus in Cartier

No. 8 Anarchist (5-2) is still eligible for an entry-level spot, and he tries to end a string of runner-up finishes. His speed ratings jumped up in his last three starts, and he fits with these if he handles all-weather ground. Josie Carroll has him now, and he figures to force the pace from the outside post.
No. 2 Arzak (2-1) was in great form last spring. He won this event last year and tailed off in the graded ranks after that. Kazushi Kimura sticks with him, and the time off probably did him some good.
No. 4 Old Chestnut (10-1) stalked slow fractions and ran away from his rivals in his local optional-claiming return April 30. That was his first start after the Martin Drexler claim, and he earned a quality speed rating that day. He might be able to step up and play ball with these at square odds.
No. 5 Ironstone (6-1) was a stakes winner in 2021 and 2022. He mostly competed in route races last year, but he can sprint as well. The relatively consistent colt shows a pair of local bullets for this.
