Saturday's Best Bet: Starship Jubilee can defend title in Canadian
Saturday's 7th race from Woodbine is the $250,000 Canadian Stakes (G2) for fillies and mares traveling a mile and an eighth on the turf course (4:30 p.m. ET).

#6 STARSHIP JUBILEE (7-2) might have a tactical edge at her home track. I like her running style versatility in a race with no pace, and she won this race last year under Saturday's rider Luis Contreras.
#3 Magnetic Charm (8-1) is an improving overseas invader. The 3-year-old filly started 2019 with a win May 17, and missed by a neck in a 27-horse field at Ascot June 21. She was the beaten favorite July 26, and I like the tactical speed she showed in that heat.
#5 Competitionofideas (8-5) almost always finishes in the top three on turf for Chad Brown. Saturday's pilot Joel Rosario guided her to a smart score in the American Oaks (G1) late last year, and she hit the board in all four graded starts this season.
#2 Holy Helena (5-2) exits a local tally in the Dance Smartly (G2) at ten furlongs. She should be close to a slow pace but rarely runs two alike and won't offer much value.
#1 Touriga (6-1) can show more in her second North American start for Graham Motion. She was a decent sort in Brazil last year.
#4 Dixie Moon (20-1) has some tactical speed but has not won since October 2018.
#7 Giovanna Blues (12-1) captured a local turf marathon stakes race last time. The shorter distance of this race does her no favors.
