Saturday's Best Bet: Onthemoonagain can make the grade in Hillsborough

Saturday's ninth race from Tampa Bay Downs is the Grade 2 Hillsborough Stakes for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course (Post Time - 4:19 p.m. ET).

I liked #8 ONTHEMOONAGAIN (7-2) in all three of her starts last year and she ended her 2018 campaign with a good 2nd in the Flower Bowl (G1). She had a combination of troubled trips and no pace help last season and I am looking for her to break through with a graded victory today. Her stablemate #7 Rymska (5-2) packs a decent late kick when she gets pace help. She got the wrong setup in her first start of the year in the Suwannee River (G3) Feb. 9 and ended up a solid 2nd that day.

#2 Hawksmoor (3-1) got back on the beam in a sharp off the pace tally in the Endeavour (G3) Feb. 9. Nine furlongs is a bit beyond her best distance but she is sharp and versatile.
