Saturday's Best Bet: Lady Rockstar on a roll in Suwannee River

No. 10 Lady Rockstar (4-1) cruised in her stateside bow in an entry level allowance turf route on May 7, and smartly scored again when clearing her second allowance condition on June 5. She was flat as the beaten favorite when last seen in the Matchmaker Stakes on July 23. She reunites with her winning pilot Irad Ortiz Jr.
No. 1 Scotish Star (5-2) should attend the pace from the inside post but she might have early company. She ran well in her last two turf routes but she blew a clear lead last time.
No. 3 Bay Storm (3-1) is usually in the top three. She tries a longer distance and needs to avoid a pace battle. Look for her new pilot Jose Ortiz to try to get her to settle early.
No. 2 Diamond Wow (20-1) stretches back out and gets the services of quality closing pilot Joel Rosario. She rates a look if she runs back to her head defeat in last year’s Jessamine Stakes.
