Saturday’s eighth race at Gulfstream Park is the $75,000 Carry Back Stakes for 3-year-olds dashing seven furlongs on the main track. The scheduled post time is 4:26 p.m. EDT.

No. 1 Khozeiress (7-2) ran well in all five local starts, and he won three of those races. The consistent Florida-bred colt exits back-to-back wins, and he handled open company on May 19.

No. 5 Mr. Peeks (4-1) was overmatched as a maiden in the Florida Derby (G1) on April 1. He turned back, returned to the special-weight ranks May 13, and he romped that day. The early-pressing California Chrome colt should offer value.

No. 4 Swirvin (7-2) captured both dirt sprints at Gulfstream and should be all over the pace under his new rider Edwin Gonzalez.

No. 7 Super Chow (9-5) is 6-for-9 overall, and he landed the comfortable outside post. He likes this oval but might not want to go this far and won’t offer much value.
