Saturday's Best Bet: Karakatsie throws a curve ball in San Clemente

Saturday’s 10th race from Del Mar is the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes for three-year-old fillies traveling one mile on the turf course (Post Time 9:36 p.m. ET).

#10 KARAKATSIE (10-1) owns steadily improving speed ratings and she placed in her last two listed turf stakes routes at Gulfstream Park. Her new pilot Kent Desormeaux has been riding well on turf recently and she seems to have the ability to spice up the exotics at the very least.

#2 Going Global (4-5) captured her last five starts and her numbers are holding steady. She exits back-to-back graded scores at a mile and an eighth and won a listed stakes at a flat mile before that.

#9 Madone (4-1) is back at her preferred flat mile trip after failing to handle nine panels May 22. She is a three-time stakes winner at this distance and might bounce back at playable odds.
