Saturday's 8th race from Oaklawn Park is the $150,000 Pippin Stakes for fillies and mares traveling one mile on the main track (Post Time 5:47 p.m. ET).

#6 ISTAN COUNCIL (7-2) probably would have won the She’s All In at Remington Park with a better trip. The early-pressing type likes this distance and has won here before.

#3 Getridofwhatailesu (6-1) fired exacta shots in five of six starts. Joe Rocco Jr. takes the call and she will try to get involved late.

#1 Vault (6-1) makes her first start in more than six months and she has the class and numbers to win a race like this. She is 0-for-1 at Oaklawn and 0-for-5 at one mile. She figures to save ground stalking the pace.

#2 Figure It Out (12-1) exits a romping optional claiming victory in a race originally scheduled for turf at Fair Grounds. The early-pressing type enjoys this distance.

#7 Wicked Whisper (3-1) won the Frizette (G1) as a juvenile and captured the Miss Preakness (G3) last year. She flopped in her lone try around two turns in the BC Juvenile Fillies (G1) but was able to handle a one turn mile in the aforementioned Frizette. I don’t really love her in this spot and she might take money win action than she should.

Wagers:

#6 to win

Playing the horses can be a rewarding but tough game. Exacta, trifectas, superfectas, Pick 4s, Pick 5s -- there are so many wagers to play, it can get overly confusing. How do you know how much to play or which wagers to try? Unfortunately, part of the learning process can include losing money. But we would like to help you shortcut that process by learning some of the most common mistakes that horseplayers make on a daily basis. Take a look at Horse Racing Nation’s newest eBook -- “Top 10 Mistakes Horseplayers Make” -- and see if it helps you avoid some common mistakes and win more playing the races.
