No. 4 CRYSTAL CLIFFS (3-1) could not catch lone speed Technical Analysis in the Gallorette (G3) May 21. She was forced to chase at Pimlico that day and was clearly second best. Graham Motion’s consistent mare was visually impressive from off the pace in Sand Springs April 2, and she might sit back and tag the speed under Rafael Hernandez.
No. 2 Lady Speightspeare (5-2) lost her last five stakes starts away from Woodbine. She is 4-for-4 locally and should attend the pace.
No. 3 Plum Ali (9-2) was a decent sophomore filly last year. She placed in two graded turf routes and won the Winter Memories to end her 2021 season. She started this year with a victory over Technical Analysis in the Plenty of Grace, and set the pace and weakened to last place in Beaugay (G3) May 14. She adds lasix and owns running style versatility.
No. 7 Broadway Lady (20-1) is back on preferred turf footing in her second start of the year. She fired in all three local turf starts and might be able to spice up the exotics.
