No. 5 CHANGE OF CONTROL (4-1) lost all chance after botching the break as the favorite in the Mardi Gras Stakes on March 1, and she ran on nicely for the show that day. She won the local Franklin County (G3) last fall and took this event in the spring. She can repeat if she gets a clean getaway.
No. 11 Goin Good (8-1) was clearly second best in the Mardi Gras last time, and that was her first start in half a year. She consistently runs her early-pressing race for Brad Cox, and she reunites with her winning rider Tyler Gaffalione.
No. 8 Hear My Prayer (10-1) failed to soldier on in her last pair at six and one-half furlongs on turf, and those races were a bit too far for her. This is a better distance for the versatile mare and she might outrun her odds.
No. 2 Star Devine (30-1) won her two shortest turf sprints last year and this abbreviated distance is a plus for the returnee. She will have to run faster to compete with these and the lightly raced filly runs well fresh and should sit a nice inner trip behind the speed. She might surprise under John Velazquez.
