#2 AMERICAN ANTHEM (7-2) is a 4-time extended sprint winner with early-pressing speed, and there is not much pace in the paper race. The former Bob Baffert trainee is now conditioned by Danny Gargan, and he shows a +ROI with new additions to his barn. He has back class and can compete here on his best day.

#8 Mind Control (2-1) makes his first start vs. older. He drew well, likes this course and distance, and can set the pace or stalk.

#4 Nicodemus (5-1) was overmatched in his Cigar Mile (G1) return. This is a better spot and he will probably strike from midpack. He is fast enough to win a race like this.

#5 T Loves a Fight (5-1) is a consistent NY-bred with an affinity for this course and distance.

#1 Sunny Ridge (9-2) has been a quality runner at longer distances for quite some time. He is 0-for-5 here and can get a piece of this.
