No. 6 Absolutely Zero (9-5) chose this spot over last Sunday’s CTBA Stakes, and she might have the run of the race from the outside post. Doug O’Neill’s California-bred filly stalked and easily graduated in her bow, and she prompted the pace and scored by a length vs. the boys in the Fasig-Tipton Futurity June 18.
No. 1 Procrastination (8-5) ran off the screen as the chalk in her Los Al bow July 4. Ricky Gonzalez figures to hustle her out of the inside gate.
No. 3 Dazzlingdominika (4-1) switched to dirt at Churchill Downs second time out, and she battled on the pace and prevailed by a length in a much improved effort, and the show finisher was a next-out winner. Phil D’Amato has her now and she drilled a local bullet Aug. 1.
No. 5 Satin Doll (10-1) rallied for the win in her local sprint bow July 23. She earned a quality late pace rating last time and might like the added furlong of this race.
