Monday's Best Bet: Summer Assault hits hard in Peach Street
Monday’s 5th race from Presque Isle Downs is the $75,000 Peach Street Stakes for three-year-olds and up traveling a mile and seventy yards on the all-weather surface (Post Time 6:25 p.m. ET).
#3 SUMMER ASSAULT (9-2) stalked and smartly scored in a slow early/fast late all-weather route at Arlington Park Aug. 26. He projects a decent tactical trip behind multiple speed types.
#5 Talk Or Listen (5-2) is a late running turf route specialist for quality conditioner Arnaud Delacour. He hit the board in both previous all-weather attempts and this race might set up for him.
#1 Hemp Hemp Hurray (8-1) figures to sit back and make a late run from the inside post. He won the Tyro Stakes in 2017 and the Animal Kingdom Stakes in 2018, and placed in multiple stakes since. He should get pace to chase.
#4 Richiesgotgame (10-1) won half of his last ten starts including a couple on all-weather ground. The sophomore colt is versatile and has sharp connections in his corner.
#12 Vanzzy (3-1) is 2-for-3 on all-weather ground. The early-pressing type is fast and classy enough to win a race like this if he can work out a trip from the outside post.
