Monday's Best Bet: Ragan’s Jet takes flight in Wilma Mankiller

Monday’s eighth race at Will Rogers Downs is the $50,000 Wilma Mankiller Stakes for fillies and mares dashing six furlongs on the main track. The scheduled post time is 5:35 p.m. EDT.

No. 1 Ragan’s Jet (5-2) is on a roll. She captured her last four starts in the Oklahoma-bred ranks, and three of those were stakes races. The early-pressing mare should attend the pace from the inside post. 

No. 4 Distorted Flash (4-1) has never lost at Will Rogers. He won this event last year and exits a local score in his prep for this. He regular pilot Gerald Mora chose Ragan’s Jet. 

No. 6 Dicey (7-2) finished in a dead heat with Distorted Flash on March 6 and was a clear third in a local state-bred stakes race won by Ragan’s Jet on March 27. He frequently fires trifecta shots. 

No. 5 Sinnin N Grinnin (5-1) chased the pace and could not quite get to Ragan’s Jet last time. She reconnects with her winning rider Leandro Concalves.
