#1A JUNGLIST (4-1) stalked the pace and finished well clear of the show finisher in his local $10k debut on a good track Jan. 5. He jumped up to the $25k level second time out and dueled on the lead and ended up in 4th place as the even money favorite. Scott Lake claimed him out of his last start and he looks like the main speed in this spot. As part of a coupled entry, he will break from post seven. He shares ownership with #1 Explain (4-1), and that runner is a new gelding turning back in distance. He starts from post five.

#5 Prince Filip (5-1) broke slow in his debut in the slop late last year, and he ended up finishing 5th in that 11-horse field. His trainer has solid stats with this type of layoff runner and he has upside.

#7 U S Constitution (2-1) dropped to this level for the first time, and he set the pace and was clearly second best in a local route Jan. 13. He turns back in distance and the morning line favorite is a logical contender.

How do you know how much to play or which wagers to try? Unfortunately, part of the learning process can include losing money. But we would like to help you shortcut that process by learning some of the most common mistakes that horseplayers make on a daily basis. Take a look at Horse Racing Nation’s newest eBook -- “Top 10 Mistakes Horseplayers Make” -- and see if it helps you avoid some common mistakes and win more playing the races.
