Monday's Best Bet: Freedom Passage plots winning course at Parx
Monday’s 10th race from Parx Racing is a $40,000 entry level allowance event for fillies and mares dashing six furlongs on the main track (Post Time 4:58 p.m. ET).
#7 FREEDOM PASSAGE (4-1) is a fairly reliable local sprinter. She easily handled local starter allowance foes March 2, and shipped to New York and stalked and faded in the mud March 25. She is 1-for-11 with six minor awards at this distance and a stalking trip is expected under her winning rider Jomar Torres.
#5 Adhwaa (3-1) is a New York shipper cutting back a couple of furlongs for Kelly Breen. She rallied for the place under Monday’s rider Frankie Pennington in her lone local try last fall.
#3 Above Par (6-1) is the main speed and he might be dangerous if she shakes loose early. The entry level ranks might be a bit too high but front end speed is strong at this distance and I would not totally dismiss her chances.
#10 Map of America (6-1) was the beaten favorite from the inside post in her first start after a short layoff March 29. She drew outside this time and might be able to press and go on with it.
