No. 5 Exceed Speed Limit (6-1) chased strong fractions before weakening in a Del Mar turf route last time. Umberto Rispoli hops aboard, and he was a decent all-weather sprinter at Golden Gate Fields. He figures to stalk the pace and might move up in his third start after a layoff.
No. 6 Thorne House (8-5) earned quality speed ratings in all three dirt sprints. He won his last pair, and the runner-up from his last won his next start. Dean Pederson is enjoying a fine year, and this one should be in the thick of things throughout if he handles turf.
No. 1 Lil Nas (4-1) fired in both local turf sprints, and John Sadler is strong with horses turning back in distance. Juan Hernandez shows a profit with this barn, and he is a threat if able to overcome the tricky inside post.
No. 2 Brix (12-1) is worth looking at underneath. His recent form is not great, but he used to be a decent late-running turf sprinter and should get pace to chase.
