Monday's Best Bet: Bullseye Beauty hits the target in Lady Erie
Monday’s 5th race from Presque Isle Downs is the $75,000 Lady Erie Stakes for three-year-old fillies dashing six furlongs on the all-weather surface (Post Time 6:25 p.m. ET).
#6 BULLSEYE BEAUTY (7-2) is 2-for-2 sprinting and one of those victories was an all-weather romp in her career debut at this distance. The versatile filly reconnects with her winning rider James Graham.
#4 Just One Time (3-1) won both of her starts vs. PA-bred foes including the local Malvern Rose July 19. She still has upside and figures to stalk the pace.
#8 Be Sneaky (9-2) owns competitive numbers in dirt sprints and the early-pressing filly is a logical threat if she handles all-weather ground.
#1 Lady Edith (12-1) did not handle the slop in the Pea Patch Stakes at Ellis Park July 18. She won the Mamzelle Stakes on turf at Churchill Downs May 8, and she cruised in her lone all-weather attempt at this distance March 24.
#2 Lexinator (8-1) is 2-for-3 with a show finish at Presque Isle. The versatile filly has the home field advantage and might be able to spice up the exotics.
