Friday's Best Bet: Prominently highly regarded at Ellis Park

Friday’s 8th race from Ellis Park is a $51,000 maiden special weight event for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course (Post Time - 5:10 p.m. ET). 

#1 PROMINENTLY (6-1) stretched out on turf and split a 12-horse field May 15, and the winner and runner-up both returned to win. The $480k daughter of Nyquist adds blinkers and might be able to move forward and graduate. 

#8 Autostrada (8-1) took some money and ended up an okay 4th in her dirt sprint bow last fall. Dam’s other starter won on turf and Chad Brown’s $375k purchase might return running. 

#6 Tayet (5-2) hit the board in all three of her turf route attempts. She figures to work out a decent stalking trip but has started six times and does not seem to be getting any better. 

#9 Ice Queen (5-1) hooked a couple of next-out winners including Aunt Pearl when last seen September 2020. She moves to the Ben Colebrook barn and will probably stalk outside. 

#10 Uyuni (6-1) makes her first start in more than eleven months for Wesley Ward. She removes blinkers and figures to attend the pace.
