#6 PLAINSMAN (9-2) owns competitive numbers and his running style versatility should serve him well. He returned to the Brad Cox barn and battled on the pace from a tough outside post in a 4th place finish at Churchill Downs Oct. 31. He ran well in four starts for Cox in 2018 including a victory in the Discovery (G3). He started three times last year and twice in 2020, and might be rounding back into form.

#2 Hunka Burning Love (3-1) captured seven of his last nine starts including a pair of romping local route victories. He should be all over the pace along with a few others.

#1 Vangilder (5-1) exits a rallying runner-up finish at this course/distance and might get a favorable setup in this spot. He has dropped seven straight and might be best used underneath.

Wagers:

#6 to win
