Friday’s 7th race from Turfway Park is the $65,000 Cincinnati Trophy Stakes for 3-year-old fillies dashing six and one-half furlongs on the all-weather surface (Post Time 9:16 p.m. ET).

#7 PHANTOM VISION (6-1) fired in all three turf starts and turns back after setting the pace and holding 3rd at Gulfstream Park Jan. 10. Rafael Bejarano hops aboard Mike Maker’s early-pressing filly and she will probably try to stalk and pounce in this spot.

#2 Just Read It (3-1) earned a quality speed rating in a romping maiden sprint win second time out at Aqueduct Jan. 31. She is a logical threat from a stalking position if she handles all-weather ground.

#6 Igloo (6-1) was clearly best in her local special weight bow at six panels late last year. She is one of several fillies with early tendencies.

#5 Paradise Song (8-1) made a wide middle move before throwing in the towel and running last in her Aqueduct bow, and the winner and show finisher were next-out winners. She shipped to Laurel Park and cruised to an easy maiden win second time out, and was clearly second best at that same venue Feb. 12. She figures to impact the pace if she handles the footing.

Playing the horses can be a rewarding but tough game. Exacta, trifectas, superfectas, Pick 4s, Pick 5s -- there are so many wagers to play, it can get overly confusing. How do you know how much to play or which wagers to try? Unfortunately, part of the learning process can include losing money. But we would like to help you shortcut that process by learning some of the most common mistakes that horseplayers make on a daily basis. Take a look at Horse Racing Nation’s newest eBook -- “Top 10 Mistakes Horseplayers Make” -- and see if it helps you avoid some common mistakes and win more playing the races.
