#2 MYBIGITALIANFRIEND (10-1) might be ready to win a stakes race for Ortiz Jr./Servis. She moved to this barn and won three straight at Gulfstream before a clear runner-up finish in the mud March 28. She graduated by the length of the stretch at this distance.
#7 Separationofpowers (5-2) drew well and won the Frizette (G1) at Belmont in 2017. Last year, she returned with a troubled 4th in the Victory Ride (G3), and moved forward to take the Test (G1) at this distance in her second start after a layoff. She was a flat 3rd in her Vagrancy (G3) return May 11, and has every right to move up for Ortiz/Brown.
#3 Chalon (2-1) returned with a nice win in the Skipat Stakes at Pimlico May 17. She consistently runs her early-pressing race but I am concerned that she will regress in her second start after a layoff. She is 0-for-3 at seven panels.
#1 Saguaro Row (15-1) is sharp and on the improve for Stidham. She is going to have to run faster to compete her, and the lightly raced daughter of Union Rags still has upside.
#4 Pacific Gale (5-2) lost her last six stakes tries but hit the board in four of those races. She is 0-for-5 at this distance. The 2-time local winner can be used underneath.
