#3 BROOKE MARIE (3-1) was my best bet in the Galway Stakes at Saratoga Aug. 11, and she was too far behind fast splits at 5.5 furlongs that day. She figures to be closer to the pace this time, and today's added 1/2 furlong might make all the difference. She is one of two contenders for trainer Christophe Clement.

#1 Peaceful (6-1) showed nice late interest in both turf sprints vs. maidens. Jonathan Thomas excels with his recent graduates trying winners for the first time, and I would not be surprised if she stepped up and made a strong late run at playable odds under Javier Castellano.

#9 Rose Flower (6-1) won two of her four turf starts in France, and both of her victories were in sprint races. She might be this good for her new trainer Christophe Clement.

#5 Dancing Vega (5-1) disappointed as the favorite in her U. S. bow at Saratoga Aug 9. She turns back in distance for Chad Brown and deserves another chance.
